I suspect it connects to the “rage virus” concept as displayed in “28 Days Later,” which has the same director as “Civil War.” “28 Years Later” is in production. The theme is this “rage virus” causes people to become violent, and their rage is contagious. This concept is overtly coupled with right-wing terrorism, as per the movie Civil War, which implies a solid anti-media attitude in the violent militants. This underscores how this next virus will be the rage stemming from “X” or the alt-media, and thus, the placeholder virus of “Disease-X” may really refer to a mind virus that will be blamed for right-wing violence in the coming months.
