Concurrent Programming In The Boys
Admitted but misunderstood
I have been discussing The Boys, in which the antagonist, The Homelander, is a “predictive programming version” of President Donald Trump. The cast and director have commented on how coincidental the show was with regard to the Homelander/ Trump parallels.
The Season 4 Finale mirrored the assassination attempt on Donald Trump nearly to the day:
“The season finale of The Boys contains scenes of fictional political violence, which some viewers may find disturbing, especially in light of the injuries and tragic loss of life sustained during the assassination attempt on former President Trump,” read a statement from the streamer posted to the Prime Video and The Boys official social media accounts timed to the episode’s midnight Thursday release.”

There was also an Elon Musk character who was killed by being tossed into space by Homelander. This seems related to a scene in a spinoff show called Gen V, in which a goat named Elon is levitated and exploded.
The actors themselves discuss Concurrent Programming, bewildered by how close their show predicted the future:
Concurrent and Predictive Programming are not “mere coincidences” but are “engineered coincidences.”
