Tyre Nichols, a 29-year-old Black man, was beaten by 5 police officers from the SCORPION unit. He was hospitalized after the arrest on January 7 and died three days later.
In one conspicuous instance of concurrent programming, Killing County by Colin Kaepernick, the titular head of BLM will be released to Hulu on 2/3/2023. Its focus is on structurally violent policing, not specifically on White police on Black violence. This is relevant as the five cops charged in the killing are Black so this isn’t fitting that specific dialectic.
In initial photographs, Tyre Nichols is seen in a shirt that says LOVE and has the number 3 on it. This seems like a callback to Damar Hamelin, who is surrounded by 3’s, love, and hearts. The activists also have LOVE on their beanies.

He supposedly cried for his mother during the beating and she felt his pain. This is reminiscent of the. George Floyd's death where he was said to have cried for his mother.

Colin Kaepernick’s “Killing County” which focuses on police brutality and emphasizes their lack of trustworthiness, gets released next week. I would consider this an example of Concurrent Programming. It will be relevant to shaping the public’s attitude toward the Tyre Nichols bodycam footage and what must be done about it.

The SCORPIONS moved in unmarked cars, bumped rap music, and blended in with the community, but would reportedly react with surprising speed. Only after the officers got out of their cars would people see “SCORPION” on the backs of their vests. They are described as an “internal gang”.
Rodney King was attacked for 1 minute 19 seconds and hit 33 times. We saw riots after. 1:19 a reverse of 9/11, which began at 8:46 AM.
George Floyd was asphyxiated for 8 minutes and 46 seconds. Sunset in the twin cities that day was 8:46 PM.
Jay Walker was shot by 8 cops 46 times.
Amir Locke, was shot 6:48 AM, a reverse or “a mirror” of 8:46
